Internationally renowned Portland metal sculptor Devin Laurence Field opens a show of new work at Waterstone Gallery on July 1st. This work in fabricated and stainless steel shows some of the techniques and styles developed in his recent work overseas and in the large public commissions for which he is known. Last Summer Devin's monumental polished stainless steel sculpture One World One Dream was permanently installed at the entrance to the Bird's Nest National Stadium in Olympic Park at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. His fourteen foot bronze sculpture Red River was exhibited at the National Art Museum of China representing the United States at the Beijing Biennale.

Devin is currently working on a large polished stainless steel and glass illuminated sculpture for the city of Urumqi in northern China which he will fly to China to dedicate in August 2009.

The exhibition at Waterstone Gallery includes small and large works, and remains on view until August 2.
