The Nofield family has owned and operated Wilfs Restaurant at Union Station since 1975. I can remember when I drove down Hoyt Street to work everyday, I would see the occasional "street person" and that was all! Look at us now! I feel this long lived history of the area inspires me everyday to know what the Pearl District can accomplish and does...every day, month and year. I have been active with the Pearl business association from the beginning, which began, not in it's current form, in 1994, I have been involved with all aspects of the association: development of the walking map, City Spaces, Explore The Pearl magazine, membership, maketing. Currently I am also on the board of the APNBA, an association of city wide business associations, I am representing the Pearl District. Of all my duties, I feel this is most important, as it connects the Pearl with other city districts and most importantly, with our current growth in the neighborhood, the City government. I love the Pearl! I see endless possibilities for the whole community, not just business. To be a successful, strong, vital area, we all must work and plan together, both business and residential "Pearlites."
